Trendfinder Trading Systems

Leopard and Leopard Alt went long looking for a continued up move that didn’t materialize.

Three systems went long today and had some profit.

It was a whipsaw day.  The Jaguars and Panther got the worst of it.  Cougar was the only system to end with a profit today.

Turned out to be a very small range day with lots of up & down action.  This led to small gains and varied losses.

The code for Jaguar, Jaguar Alt, Leopard and Leopard Alt has been updated.  An improvement has been made to each system to better handle low-volatility choppy markets (like early January this year and pre-2006) while continuing to take the same trades it always has during average and high-volatility periods.  Leopard and Leopard Alt also had an additional modification to increase the number of trades and profit.  The updated code went into effect starting today (February 14).  To see results of both the original code and the updated versions, you can go to the website page for each system and you will find links to performance reports for both versions.  For your convenience, I have posted the links below (the reports must be opened in Internet Explorer):

Trendfinder’s emini day trading systems did not have any trades today.

This week 5 systems had gains and 8 had losses.  So far February is treating us better than January – only two systems don’t have gains for the month.  On a similar note, I’ve completed testing of an update for Jaguar and Leopard that will go into effect on Monday – more to come in a later post.

It was a whipsaw day for Lion.  Some systems went short twice with losses each time.  The Jaguar and Leopard systems wisely stood aside today.
