Trendfinder Trading Systems

Two systems caught the down move today for nice profits.

For the second day in a row the market moved down from the open, some systems went short, and then the market went slightly up the rest of the day.  Sometimes the trend ends.  Had a few losses today.

5 strategies went short this morning and had nice open profits until the market reversed up leading to very small losses today.

It was a slow trading week due to the FOMC meeting, however it was a profitable week ($1960 per contract).  Next week should be much more active.

Trendfinder’s systems totaled $4660 in profits for October.  Tiger was the big winner.  The first two weeks were losing weeks but the last two were very profitable.  Only one system didn’t finish with a profit and its loss was very small.

Volatility increased this month and so did profits.  When the stock market declines the volatility typically increases which increases daytrading profits.  This tendency can make daytrading futures a very nice component in a well balanced portfolio.
