Four intraday systems had long trades today.

Trendfinder’s emini futures trading systems did not have any closed trades today.

With the dynamics of the stock market over the past few years, trading with swing systems (trades that last around 1 week) has been precarious. Yes, there have been some winning trades, but there have been many times were a Trump tweet caused trades that were in good shape to be stopped out.

On the other hand, this increase in volatility is great for day trading systems! I’ve put together four portfolios that combine only day trading systems. These portfolios provide more risk control since they do not hold trades overnight. I think these portfolios might be a great choice given the current political environment. The day trading systems did very well this month. The swing systems had 1 winning trade and 4 losing ones. For all but one portfolio, the day trading profits made up for the swing losses.

Three intraday systems and one swing system had trades this week. FedSwingWF is now entering long trades since the Fed has changed policy, and its first trade since the change was a very nice winner.

FedSwingWF was the big winner exiting a long trade in the ES (S&P 500). Three intraday systems had long trades that each exited close to their entry price.
