Daily Results for 10/8/19
Today was one of those very unlucky ones. Most day trading systems had short trades, and some news items (especially Powell speaking) caused a volatile intraday rally that stopped out every trade. The market then went back down. Almost every system that traded had its max possible daily loss.

As has mostly been the case since February 2018, the intraday systems profited nicely in this market volatility and the swing systems suffered.
I’ve said it a few times, and I guess I’ll say it again, it certainly appears that this market is great for day trading and poor for swing trading. I highly recommend the Day Trader Portfolios over the Index Trader Portfolios for the foreseeable future.

Bandwagon ES profited from the down move today. Lion II Vol also went short but the Russell 2000 mostly went sideways during the day. Several swing systems were stopped out.
I think it is a very good idea to overweight the intraday systems versus the swing systems. Removing all swing systems and adding more contracts to the intraday systems is probably even better. The market environment under Trump’s presidency doesn’t appear to be a good fit for swing trading. If you haven’t yet, please look at the Day Trader portfolios I created using only the intraday systems: http://trendfindertrading.com/portfolios.html

Monthly Results – September 2019
This month the intraday systems ended relatively flat, and the swing systems ended with a loss.
It’s already the end of September??? That month sure flew by for me. Overall, the stock market didn’t move that much, especially considering all of the political and macro events that occurred. I’m seeing a mixture of bullish and bearish indications going forward. Looks like the market will continue to chop around until there is a clear winner between the bulls and bears. If nothing major happens, the bulls will likely be the winner.

Weekly Results – week ending 9/27/19
Some long swing trades exited this week.
If volatility continues to increase, the daytrading systems will become active again next week.
